Foreword by Stephen...

Here is what I did today.  I woke up in the morning and got dressed.  After two hours the baby-sitter got here.  Dad left to work and we went to the laundry mat.  Then we went home and ate lunch.  After lunch we went to the soccer field and played.  Then we went home and whated for dad.  Then we went to the soccer field for a while.  Now we will go to bed.  Here are some pictures from today.

Another beautiful morning here in Trento.  I again woke up before the alarm clock.  Hit the showers and shaved.   Then I woke Stephen up and he took his shower.  Kristie refused to wake up again so I skipped her shower and we sat down to breakfast.  I explained to the kids that I was going to tell Gabriella to not let them eat so much food like they did yesterday.  Apparently they scarfed down quite a bit of food and I don't particularly think they needed it.  And I know what they are like, they'll keep eating if you don't stop them.  When Gabriella came I explained that to her and she agreed to keep their eating in line within normal eating amounts.

I headed off to work.  At lunch time I went and checkout out the laundry places Vincenzo suggested near work but they all look like dry cleaners.  I'm not sure they do regular clothing.  Well, I figured I'd wait to see what Gabriella had found.  I also tried to look at sofa beds but most of the stores were closed for lunch.  I did see one neat sofa bed that folds out into a bunk bed.  But that's not really what I need.

After work I got home and Gabriella explained that she had found a laundromat and the clothes will be ready on Friday.  I'll need to get directions from her how to find this place later on my own.  She left and the kids and I sat down to dinner.  The pasta sure is good here.  And that was dinner with some mortadella, sausage and provolone dolce.

During dinner the cabanierie were driving around the complex.  Those are the military police that also serve in the civilian population.  I don't know who they were looking for but they spent some time walking around checking the buzzers on the doors.

We headed out to the park.  On the way out we saw one of the owners chickens in the parking lot near his gate so we opened it and the kids chased it into his yard.  Then we made our way to the soccer field.  Stephen wanted to kick the ball around.  Kristie wanted to play in the play ground adjacent to the field.  While Kristie was playing some boys came up to Stephen and wanted to play.  Stephen was a bit confused by the Italian but I explained to him to give them the thumbs up and everything went pretty smoothly from there.  The four played soccer quite well.  It was good to see I wasn't going to have the same problems with other kids like in Paris.

We got back to the apartment and Kristie worked some more on her story as did Stephen.  And tonight I let them stay up a little later hoping their mom would call again.  The stupid cell phone had the ringer turned off when she called earlier and I didn't know it.  I fudged with the phone and figured out how to turn it back on.  But she didn't call again so I put them to bed finally.

A storm is moving in.  This is a bit surprising to me as I checked the radar maps earlier today on the weather channel web site and it didn't look like any storm system was moving in.  But it is and there is even thunder associated with it.  It will probably be cooler tomorrow then.  The bugs sure do come out in droves when it rains.  I just had to close the shutters to the room here because they were swarming into the apt.  I had the shutters closed in the other rooms.  First time I've had any bugs come into the place.  No wonder why there seem to be a lot of bats around here.  I just wish I had some spiders in here now.  I guess I'm going to have to invest in some of the bug candles at the magazinne.

There is still no word on my telephone line so I'm going to take the agent's phone number in to work to see if someone can get a status on it for me.
