I flew into New York City the previous week and picked up the kids from their grandmother's house.  We drove down to Durham and this photo above is a shot of breakfast.

Last Saturday we went to the North Carolina Zoo out in Asheboro.  This was lunch before heading out to see the animals.

This is a shot of the rhinoceros.

Some pretty flamingos live here too.

Here the kids are checking out a snake.

Kristie is checking out the ocelots.

A new addition since the last time we visited the zoo are the otters!

This is a shot of one of the otters swimming underwater.

This white fox seemed a bit flustered in the heat.

Sea lions swimming underwater.

A neat lioness statue.

I believe there are giraffes in the distance.

On Easter Sunday the kids and I prepared eggs for a hunt.  Here Kristie is playing with the puzzle that came with her Easter egg coloring kit.

Here the kids are coloring their eggs.  Each one has six eggs to color.  Stephen is tie-dying his eggs, Kristie is painting hers.  Notice the ample use of newsprint to protect the nice tile table.

Here the kids are showing off their workmanship out in the front yard.  We then held the hunt after I hid all the eggs.  We videotaped the hunt whilst the kids searched for the eggs.

We left Durham and drove out to Dave Maney's place in Sneads Ferry.  We stayed overnight with him and Anne-Marie after dining on huge steaks!  We took the kids to a local amusement park where they burned rubber on the race track.
