RR 620 south of the 2222 junction, take a right on the road with the sign that points to the Oasis. This long standing establishment is well known for it's spectacular view of Lake Travis. The multilevel decks provides for almost unobstructed viewing. A favorite spot of Austinites to view the sunset from. The only draw back here is the lack of wait staff. Most of the decks are self service which means you have to walk up to the bar to get your drinks and appetizers. This doesn't sound like such a bad idea but the bar staff is severely understaffed and lines to get to the bar can stretch into 15-30 minute waits. Even purchasing large quantities of drinks to maximize return on each trip doesn't work in the searing heat of the evening sun.
